April 25
It was a beautiful day today so I took advantage of it and took the boys out for ice cream. The nanny stayed with the twins so we could go out and have a nice time. The boys were very excited to get ice cream. They both picked "Spiderman" ice cream which is this red/blue crazy mix with some kind of chocolate chips in there as well. They were a red/blue mess when we left but it was a nice time =)
Also, when I ordered apple juice, I had NO idea they would come out adult sized. I tried to intervene and get the boys to say one apple juice but neither liked that idea once they had them in their hands! Sigh.

Easter Egg Hunt & Betty/Tiffani Visit
April 21
This morning we met up with my moms group to go to an Easter Egg Hunt. Rich and Lois were here to help out so they stayed with twins. Henry and Gabe were very excited to go on another hunt. I was highly amused when little Gabe remembered what he was supposed to do and instead of worrying about his basket being taken, he was an egg finding machine. He had his bucket stuffed in no time! Henry was also very successful at finding eggs although I think he took some time to stop and see what was in his eggs (and possible eat the candy inside) so his basket wasn't quite a full.
After the hunt we all went inside for cupcakes and juice. Gabe was excited about the cupcake but Henry was more interested in playing with his new toys, stickers and eating his candy. We stayed to play a bit longer with the kids before heading home for lunch.
Around noon, Aunt Betty and cousin Tiff came to see the babies. It was nice to catch up with them a bit and introduce the babies to Tiff. Aunt Betty has seen them a few times when I've been over at Moms house. Unfortunately they couldn't stay too long because they had to leave to pick up Max from kindergarten.

Easter Sunday
April 20
The Easter Bunny arrived! The kids are pretty excited about their baskets. We aren't quite brave enough to go to church on our own yet (they don't have nursery for Henry and Gabe on Easter) and usually by the time we arrive it's standing room only and that's a bit much with four kids. Instead we enjoyed a relaxing morning together.
In the afternoon Mike wanted to take Henry for his first golfing experience. They went together and Mike says that Henry enjoyed it for the first and second hole. Then by the third we was ready to leave and go to the playground =) They stuck it out a few more holes but did not finish the six. Henry is a bit young but it was a good first try.

Easter & Mike's Birthday
April 19
We decided to have Easter dinner a day early so we would have Sunday free to relax. We just had the grandparents coming this year so it was pretty low key. Everyone brought side dishes and Mike and I provided the ham. Grandmas were very generous with gifts this year and the kids had a great time ripping through their new toys and treats. We were able to get a couple family shots that turned out half way decent so it was a good day!
Today was also Mike's birthday so we had a little cake and the boys picked out some balloons. Henry insisted it wasn't a party without balloons! Each boy picked a theme so we had Frozen and Angry Birds balloons. Mike didn't care and it made both boys really happy to have balloons to play with!

Birthday Party for Henry's Friend
April 18
I received an invitation for Henry to attend a preschool friend's birthday party on a Tuesday for a Friday party. I was a little annoyed at the short notice but Henry said he wanted to go. In the end I was glad we did. The family was very nice and Henry had a great time at Jungle Joe's. It's an inflatable bounce house kind of place. They have tons of things for kids to climb on and bounce in. I was nervous Henry would be a little young for it but he ran up the stairs and climbed the highest houses without a problem. I was nervous but he had a blast. By the end of the hour he was completely red in the face from exertion but all smiles. They had pizza and cake for the kids but Henry was most impressed with the "door prize" he got to leave with: coloring crayons and a coloring book!

Anna and Andrew - Two Months Old
April 18
With every week I feel a sense of pride that we've
survived. Now we've reached the two month mark for the twins. The time really is flying by fast! Both babies are doing well but are still very different.
With every week I feel a sense of pride that we've
Anna
22 1/4" and 12.8 pounds
Anna still doesn't have a set schedule yet. Roughly, she still eats every 2-3 hours. She's still very impatient for meals and does not like to wait for her brother to finish. I often try to feed her first because she's louder and she's also a faster eater. She started smiling around 6 weeks and the cooing/laughing is more frequent now. She's a pretty social baby. She likes to smile and coo at just about anyone. At 8 weeks, she started rolling over. I am not happy about this development. The doctor says it's two months ahead of schedule. I think she's just trying to keep up with her brother who rolled over first!
Andrew
22" and 10.8 pounds
22" and 10.8 pounds
Andrew also doesn't have a schedule yet. Still every 2-3 hours. He had the hardest time going from bottle to breast when we gave up bottles. He was quite used to the fast flow of bottles. He's a very active little guy. He likes to swing his arms and legs trying to move. He was the first to roll over at 8 weeks old. I think he will be an early mover. He just seems like he wants to explore and see what he's missing out there. He is doing better with his acid reflux and he seems happier on the medication. He is not as social as Anna and reserves his smiles and coos for me so far. He has two of the cutest dimples that only show when he smiles widely. I finally got a good shot of such smile above!
